Colours of Australia

Thank you for all your lovely comments on my new look blog.

I thought I’d share a few piccies with you of our holiday where we drove through south western Australia and did just under 3000 kms in 12 days. We had a great time and saw some lovely countryside. With all the recent rains that part of the country has had, everything was very lush.

Sydney, Echuca, Daylesford, Melbourne, Sydney

I’ve run the photos through the iPhone Dulux App and come up with paint colours for each of the photos.

The Canola was all in flower in western New South Wales.

There were lots of pretty wildflowers along the side of the highway.

And wattle in full flower.

This picturesque dam was on a property outside of Daylesford called Lavendula. Unfortunately all the Lavender bushes had been cut so there wasn’t any purple.

And after a few days in Melbourne we hit the road again travelling via the coast.

  1. Hi Jennifer
I’m so enjoying looking at the beautiful photos in your Colours of Australia blog post. I like the idea of introducing an extra layer of excitement and enjoyment to our holidays by noticing Nature’s colour palette and how the colours complement each other.
