We were all stunned this morning when we woke at 6.30am to a red glow in the air. Sydney was covered in a blanket of red dust that had been whipped up from Outback Australia during high winds that originated in South Australia yesterday. Apparently it is the worst in 70 years.

Not quite sure what to make of it, I had to snap a few pics of our back garden in orange.

Our back garden during the dust storm

I had the flash on for this one and you can see the light reflecting on all the dust particles.
Fortunately it’s all gone now but you should see the cars, and the outdoor furniture and even inside with all the windows closed. It was really quite amazing.
Very cool the stuff we get to see on the other side of the world in blogland! THanks for sharing!
